Intext Louvers : Advanced Ventilation and Architectural Screening for Modern Buildings
For over three decades, Intext has been engineering façade solutions that combine durability, aesthetics and performance. Our louver systems are designed to deliver controlled ventilation, filtered daylight and façade enhancement across residential, commercial and industrial projects in Eastern India.

Why Louvers Matter in Architecture
Louvers are essential for:
- Natural ventilation
- Reduction of heat and glare
- Enhancing privacy
- Protecting service shafts and ducts
- Reducing rain penetration
- Adding depth and rhythm to exteriors
A well-designed louver elevates both performance and aesthetics while contributing to energy-efficient building design.

Performance & Technical Insight
Ventilation Efficiency
The effectiveness of a louver depends on its free area—the open area available for airflow.
Example:
If a 10 m² panel has a free area of 40%, the effective airflow area is:
10 m² × 0.40 = 4 m²
Approx airflow through natural wind:
Q ≈ A × V
At wind speed of 2 m/s:
4 × 2 = 8 m³/s (≈ 28,800 m³/hr)
This level of airflow is sufficient for parking bays, shafts or plant rooms.
Wind Load & Structural Strength
We size frames, anchors and blade supports using standard dynamic pressure formulas:
q ≈ 0.613 × V² (N/m²)
At 30 m/s wind speed:
q ≈ 552 N/m² (0.55 kN/m²)
This ensures stable performance even in high-wind exposure zones across Eastern India—especially in cities like Kolkata, Digha, Bhubaneswar and coastal regions.

Acoustic & Weather Protection
- Blade geometry reduces direct rain penetration
- Overlapping sections help lower external noise
- Optional back-pan systems improve weather resistance
- Helps reduce glare and manage daylight internally
